World Setting & Lore
INTRODUCTION
Welcome to Pirate Ghost’s Hidden Treasure Storytelling Game (PGHT-SG). This is a storytelling game (or you can call it collaborative writing game) system that I’m developing, based on my comic of the same name. The system is very simple and easy to understand. It only use 6-sided dice to do all the resolving with extremely minimum calculation that you don’t even have to go to school and learn math to play it!
The system is made specifically for high school drama storyline. It favors more roleplaying and storytelling without sacrificing the fun of fighting.
In general, PGHT lore and setting is actually very loose. Giving storyteller freedom to create unlimited new contents, from school facility, building, club, school activity, school subject, everything. But you always can create your own setting if you want. Based on your school perhaps?

WORLD SETTING
Every game, every story has a place where it takes place. PGHT too has its own place. PGHT sets in the alternate fantasy universe of our world. It pretty much mirrors everything with several rules bended to fit your story. It is okay to be contradictive, irrational or illogical as long as your players accept it beforehand. Because PGHT is basically a comedy based on our world, and in comedy, anything possible.
The PGHT setting takes place in a Labrat High. An international experimental school in Jakarta (or anywhere you wanna be; doesn’t matter). The school ground is larger than even the largest university and is divided into 5 blocks. The school houses the most complete facilities, both sports and scholastic. From football to skateboard area, from art studio to gaming room, from library to archeology exhibition museum, everything is here, and the storyteller imagination is the only limit. Due to enormous numbers of sport activities, there are many sport fields and gym spread throughout the school, with one olympic grade stadium specifically build for national/international match. The achivement of sports club has been quite stellar and being a champion is a tradition.
Note: The loose school setting is intentional, giving storyteller a media to freely add any setting details for easier story making)
Inside the school ground, there’s a large daunting forest that house thousands species of animals and plants, the zoo near it exhibit many rare animals, a big hill is there with its own old rusty neglected school building, and of course, a large lake where students can hang out or rest after they jog. This jogging track is one of the longest. There’s also a small shopping district for students, complete with restaurant, diner, cafe, and movie theatre that release the newest movies. Of course they have ampitheatre-like large theater too, where everyone in theatre club perform every week with different plays. The dormitories complex is the largest part of the school. Housing all students who enrol there but finding it a hassle to live outside the school ground. There are a lot of club rooms , or even club building for a bigger and famous club, from sport to science, everything is here. No matter how ridiculous the club sounds, like the “Coming of Armageddon’ club or ‘Tissue Collectors’ club. As long as it have been approved by student commitee, student can create any kind of club.
Note: There are no specific rules for creating club, giving storyteller more power to create clubs and to limit players to create his own clubs that could potentially obstruct the storyline, or making the game imbalance)

Do you think this is big? Labrat High is MUCH bigger!
Academic-wise, there are hundreds of teachers spread around different buildings and rooms. Each subject has its own building (some subject, like cinematography has more than one building since students require larger studio-like class) and each rooms has its own teachers. So there are many teachers in the school and it’s pretty much understandable for students to not know most teachers. The school is implementing its own curriculuum which totally differs from the rest of the school. There are many subjects and students are free to choose one, and when they flunk, they are free to re-take the class who has different teacher, or even take different subjects. They can only graduate after they collect enough credit.
Note: The idea is to give storyteller more freedom to create new school subject to play with. Of course the usual common subject like math is there.
Hierarchy of Power from highest to lowest
0. School Boards
School Boards is the highest ruling power in the school. It consists of randomly chosen parents who are willing, head teachers, representatives from student commitee, and club presidents. They functions just like any school boards function: overseer the management of the school, appointing principal and vice, resolving problems and the stuff.
1. Principal.
self-explanatory
2. Vice Principal of Education & Vice Principal of Scholastic
VP of Edu handles every education-related matters. VP of School handles every student-related matters, heading the Student Commitee.
3. Secretary.
The overall helper, spokeperson of the school.
4. Head Teacher.
Heading all teachers of a subject, both permanent and temporary, have power to reccomend promoting teachers and new teachers. Elected by both Permanent & Temporary teachers of that subject.
5. Student Counselor.
Teachers that help student. Eventhough they don’t have power over head teachers, their rank job rank is higher than teachers.
5. Permanent & Temporary Teachers.
Those who actually teach in class.
6. Administration
self-explanatory
7. Student Commitee.
The organization that manage and oversee all kinds of student activities, from security, dormitory and clubs. It consists mostly of students. It has its own president, vice, secretary, etc.
LORE
Labrat High is an awfully quiet place for a large school. The students are good, except for those who gathers at certain district of the school, which appereantly never get to class and seems like getting an education was never the reason why the enroll. At some point in the past, there was this huge riot over something that most people at that time and in the future, never quite understand. This riot was so brutal that it destroyed 1/3 of school facilities. Many students and teachers died at the time and the school was threatened to be shut.
It was solely because of the principal at the time, who singlehandedly conspired against the education ministry, and even used the opportunity to force the education ministry influence out of the school. Now the Labrat school are gaining its feet. They built most of the destroyed building, leaving few in ruins as a reminder for everyone the horror of a riot.
There’s one name that appear to be the one who responsible for the riot. It was suspected that Gatot, a second year student, who choreographed the whole thing for a certain treasure. Gatot is missing after the riot and has never been since ever again. His close friends were know retreating from public eyes, moving in the undergrounds, going to surface only to get to class. These guys were avoided by everyone, even teachers.
