Just like any other film industry in the world, there are a lot of crap movies produced every year in Indonesia. Picking the right title for you is pain in the ass, because media doesn’t seem to be interested enough with film (they’re more interested with politics, disasters, death, and celebrity marriage life), online-wise, it’s very hard to find website who review indonesian film. The only indonesian film review website that I know of was full of satirical joke and straightforward insult and has been discontinued. So You will have to rely on what’s available to you:

• Misleading trailer.
• Bad poster film which explain nothing.

This is actually not a movie about sad six-pack dude

There’s something that you have to know before we continue to the tips and advice section. It’s that Film producers and Studios are pretty much dictates their consumers. They pretty much decide what’s trend for the year and produce as much movie of the same genre as possible. Did you know that in 2005-2007, approx. 90% of Indonesian movie are of horror genre? and since 2008 until know, they decided that the trend has shifted to comedy and all of a sudden, horror movie release dropped to less than approx. 10% and of course, comedy genre dominates all releases. This is what you’re facing. If you think hollywood suck, think again!
